Experience Matters
Preserving the integrity of the judicial system in Madison and Rankin Counties requires the perspective that only comes from many years of intensive jury trial experience.
Putting Experience to Work for District 20
With nearly 20 years of jury trial experience in the Circuit Court, both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney, Carter Smith is committed to bringing fairness, trust, and legal integrity to the Circuit Court bench. Throughout his career, he has successfully litigated numerous complex jury trials, gaining a profound respect for the constitutional rights that anchor our legal process.
Carter's candidacy for Circuit Court Judge is founded on the principle that the bench should be occupied by those who have spent their lives in the trenches of the law, understanding every nuance of the trial process from jury selection to verdict, as well as all the steps leading up to a trial itself and those following a trial. For all, the outcome of a trial matters.
The core philosophy of his campaign is simple: Experience Matters. By bringing his extensive background and knowledge to the bench, Carter Smith will serve both Madison and Rankin Counties with the gravitas required to maintain public trust and uphold the rule of law for every citizen and will remain an impartial arbiter of the law, ensuring that proceedings are handled with efficiency, dignity, and absolute transparency.
